Originally from the Bay Area in Northern California, Sierra has been living in San Diego for almost 3 years now. She started college at Cal State East Bay where she was a member of the collegiate swim team. After “retiring” her sophomore year she transferred to UC Davis where she received my Bachelors in Communications. While at UC Davis she interned for the Student Affairs department running the student life social media pages. She was able to keep students up to date on school functions, provide important announcements, and extend a welcoming social space for new students. After graduation, she worked for Rutherford Wine Company’s marketing department in Napa where she learned the ins and outs of the wine industry. Sierra worked closely with their Marketing Director to create and provide marketing materials for the sales team, design and facilitate distributions of POS materials, and managed social media pages for each wine brand under the Rutherford Wine Company umbrella. While she always loved living in the Bay Area, she knew it was time for a change. She packed her bags and headed to San Diego Most recently she worked for Alternative Strategies where she was a social media marketer for several restaurants and restaurant groups in San Diego. While at Alternative Strategies Sierra ran social media accounts for various clients, created monthly planning reports to highlight upcoming events, retained each brand’s image, helped launch new restaurant concepts, maintained relationships with important influencers, and managed each client’s advertising budget and needs. Working with restaurants during the peak of Covid boosted her creativity and allowed Sierra to pivot easily when new challenges came her way. During her free time, you will find Sierra shopping at the farmer’s market, hitting a cycling class, or soaking up the sun at the beach.
