Maria Valencia
Account Executive
Maria is a graduate from California State University San Marcos with a Communication degree and a double minor in Spanish and Ethnic Studies. While attending CSUSM, she was a member of Lambda Pi Eta Honor Society as well as the copy editor for the school’s newspaper.
Maria joined ChicExecs as a Retail Strategy intern, a position in which she discovered her love for the exciting world of retail placement. She was then brought onto the team as an Account Coordinator, helping with both product and showroom placement. She has helped in placements with key retailers like Nordstrom, Macy’s, Von Maur, Free People, Anthropologie, buybuyBABY, Forever21 and more! Determined, driven, and with a great focus for detail, these skills helped Maria flourish and move on to an Account Executive.
Through her work with ChicExecs, Maria has come to love helping entrepreneurs succeed in their ventures and sees herself as an extension of their teams. She understands the importance of seeking retail opportunities to help grow a brand’s retail footprint and overall awareness in the retail market. This is why she has found a happy home in her work within the Retail Strategy department.
In her spare time, Maria enjoys reading a good book, playing with her dogs, and reveling in the Southern California sunshine.
