Wondergrade Founder Krista Coppa was interviewed for the article “The Psychology of Confidence – And How to Build It” in HerMoney.
Wondergrade is the app that helps empower kids with calm-down and regulation skills so they are equipped to handle life’s challenges, creating more compassionate and resilient future generations.
Kids three to eight years old learn how to regulate emotions, build resilience, practice empathy, and find their calm. Krista is an expert in the field and has authored several articles in leading parenting and wellness outlets.
The idea for the app originated when Kristi’s four-year-old daughter was experiencing extreme anxiety. This mama bear took action that is now helping thousands of young kids handle their emotions.
Wondergrade is the result of years of scientific research and development. Krista, a former nurse, with the help of her husband, John, designed the user-friendly app with a cheerful mascot, Yog. Young kids are exposed to tools, skills, and an environment that encourages them to grow and flourish in their emotional health.
Yog helps kids put on their superhero caps and deal with the day’s tricky moments by using mindfulness, such as breathing skills and meditation.
Mental health and overall wellness are receiving increased attention, with the realization that early emotional learning is vital to a child’s overall development. Caregivers of young children, whether that be parents, grandparents, teachers, or therapists, find the app an essential addition to their child’s emotional skills toolkit. Neurodiverse children with anxiety have found the app soothing and engaging. It provides tools that are backed by extensive research and realistic to use at home and in preschool classes.
